Mohan Shrestha, RPP spokesperson, stated that Dangi, who also served as the chairman of Madhuvan municipality for RPP, passed away at four o'clock this morning at the Birendra Sainik Hospital cantonment.
According to Shrestha, a tribute ceremony for Dangi is scheduled for today at 12 noon at the party’s central office. Dangi was suffering from respiratory issues and his condition worsened after being exposed to tear gas fired by the police during the dispersal of the protesters.
The RPP had organized a protest in Kathmandu on April 9, demanding the abolition of republicanism and secularism.
