Prohibitory order withdrawn in Taulihawa

Prohibitory order withdrawn in Taulihawa

KAPILVASTU, Dec 6: The local administration in Kapilvastu has lifted its prohibitory orders issued earlier for the district headquarters Taulihawa, in view of the public demonstrations taking place for and against the constitution amendment proposal.

The orders that had been in effect from 6:00 am Monday were withdrawn from 10:00 am today. A meeting of the District Security Committee headed by its President and Officiating Chief District Officer Bharat Kumar Budhathoki decided to discontinue the prohibitory orders.

The orders were issued as per the Article 6 (3) of the Local Administration Act-2028 BS, according to the Kapilvastu Local Administration.

Demonstrations being held for and against the proposal for the past six days in the northern part of the district have badly affected the normal life. Markets, transport services, banks and academic institutes have remained closed. RSS
