Inaugurating the new building of the District Election Office, Makwanpur at Hetauda Sub Metropolis-5 today, CEC Yadav said the government has been already informed about the need to formulate election-related laws in order to hold the election.
"It is difficult to fix the election date until the House endorses the election-related acts and laws," he added.
District Election Officer Govinda Prasad Poudel said the construction of a two-storey and 13-room building cost Rs 12.4 million and the government bore the cost.
According to him, updating of voters' name list is underway in the district. RSS
