Receiving a memorandum from the Samyukta Rajnitik Dalit Sangharsha Samiti about the incident on Wednesday, the PM is said he would call the Minister for Home Affairs, home secretary, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to discuss the issue.
“Thank you for the information! I will call a meeting with Minister for Home Affairs, home secretary, and IGP to discuss further about the issue and take necessary steps,” said PM Dahal.
According to Dalit leaders, Ajit (Dhakal) Mijar of Panchkhal-6, Kavre district, was killed for inter-caste marriage. They drew the PM’s attention toward investigating the incident and punish the guilty.
Dalit leaders have accused the family members of the girl and the local administration of killing the Dalit youth. They have the PM to punish the guilty and demanded compensation for the victim’s family.
