The initial session saw the main opposition, CPN-UML, demanding the resignation of controversial ministers.
Despite the Speaker’s repeated directives, the government’s lack of response prompted UML parliamentarians to chant slogans, leading to the adjournment of the parliamentary meeting.
The opposition, particularly targeting Physical Infrastructure Minister Prakash Jwala, who was implicated in the Balkumari incident according to the inquiry commission, insists on his resignation.
Furthermore, UML also cast doubt on Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Tourism Minister Sudan Kiranti, and Health Minister Mohan Basnet.
