One dies in motorcycle accident in Bhaktapur
KATHMANDU, March 10: One person died in an accident near Chundevi flyover in Bhaktapur along the Araniko Highway.
The pillion rider Maniraj Ghimire, 40, lost his life when a motorcycle (02-032 Pa 3313) lost control and crashed.
District Police Range Bhaktapur said that Ghimire was rushed to Madhyapur Hospital Thimi for treatment after the accident, but unfortunately died during the treatment.
Basanta Pathak, information officer for the District Police Range Bhaktapur, said that a police team including an investigation officer was deployed at the scene of the accident and the preliminary investigation was conducted.
The motorcyclist Binod Prasad Ghimire, 37, a resident of Manthali Municipality-4, Ramechhap, and currently residing in Kavrepalanchok, is currently under the custody of Police Circle Jagati. According to the police, further investigations into the incident are underway.
