NSU general convention's closed session uncertain

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The closed session of the 11th General Convention of Nepal Students Union (NSU) has become uncertain as disputes over the selection of convention representatives from 11 districts are yet to be sorted out.

The General Convention of the Nepali Congress-aligned student wing began at local Bhrikutimandap on Sunday. Though the closed session was rescheduled for 14:00 pm today, there were slim chances that it would commence today, NSU Office Chief Secretary Shiv Rimal said.

However, General Convention Directive Committee member Kishor Singh Rathaur hoped that disputes would be resolved by today, paving the way for commencing the closed session.

Though NSU General Convention held after nine years was said to be participated by around 3400 representatives across the country, names of representatives from 11 districts are yet to be finalized. RSS
