Know MoreKATHMANDU, April 30: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced prices of diesel and kerosene each by Rs 2 per liter to be effective from Tuesday midnight.
With the revised rates, diesel will now cost Rs 159 per liter in Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Dipayal. Similarly, it will cost Rs 158 in Surkhet and Dang, and Rs 156.50 per liter in Charaali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, and Birgunj areas.
Meanwhile, the state-owned oil monopoly has increased the price of aviation fuel for domestic flight by Re 1 per liter and that used for international purposes by US $ 7 per kiloliter. At the new rates, aviation fuel (domestic) will cost Rs137 per liter and aviation fuel (international) will cost US $ 1.042 per liter.
According to the NOC, it revised the prices of fossil fuels in the domestic market in line with the new price lists provided by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the sole supplier of petroleum products to the NOC.
