Nepal Law Commission Secretary Adhikari resigns

Nepal Law Commission Secretary Adhikari resigns

KATHMANDU, July 20: Secretary of the Nepal Judicial Service Toya Nath Adhikari has resigned from his position. Although he was due to retire at age 58 on December 13, Adhikari chose to step down five months early.

Adhikari is currently serving as a Secretary at the Nepal Law Commission. His resignation has been accepted by the Cabinet.

Sources indicated that Adhikari decided to resign due to prolonged stagnation in the commissions after his promotion to secretary, which lasted for three and a half years. He had previously served as the secretary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Having joined the civil service in 2050 BS, Adhikari is concluding a 31-year career with his retirement on Sunday.
