Know MoreKATHMANDU, June 1: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced power outages lasting 5 to 9 hours today in various areas of Kathmandu and Lalitpur.
According to NEA, electricity supply will be interrupted today in several locations served by the Matatirtha feeder of the Balambu subsidiary distribution center in Kathmandu as well as the Pulchowk and Patan feeder of the Pulchowk distribution center in Lalitpur. This interruption is necessary for maintenance and conductor upgrades.
The power lines will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, affecting areas such as Daura Depot, Mahadevsthan, Check Post, Aayal Nigam, Godam, Thankot, Tribhuvan Park, Kharibot, Nagdhunga, Pipalmod, Basundhara, Indrathan, Totitole, Siranchowk, Mahesh Phat, Kukhurechowr, and Jhangajhiti under the Matatirtha feeder.
In addition, NEA has announced power cuts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Bhanimandal, Ekantakuna, Lamachaur, Summit Hotel, Bakhundol, Mantri Quarter, Jhamsikhel, and Arun Thapa Chowk area under the Pulchowk feeder in Lalitpur.
