NAC Dubai flight returns to Kathmandu due to hydraulics issue

KATHMANDU, March 29: A Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) plane that had departed from Kathmandu to Doha on Thursday night had to return to Kathmandu due to issues with its hydraulics, according to the Tribhuvan International Airport Spokesperson Subash Jha.

The wide-body A-330, bearing the registration 9N-ALY, landed back in Kathmandu after flying 70 nautical miles. The aircraft arrived in Kathmandu at approximately 3 AM.

Jha said that another aircraft from the NAC, bearing registration 9N-ALZ, which arrived in Kathmandu during the night, departed with the passengers from the affected flight.

The aircraft that encountered hydraulic issues has since been repaired and is scheduled for a flight to Delhi today, as announced by NAC Spokesperson Ramesh Poudel. Poudel assured that there would be no disruption to international schedules, as preparations for flights are underway and the aircraft has been swiftly repaired and made ready for service.
