Know MoreKATHMANDU, Aug 23: An accident involving an Indian-registered passenger bus which plunged into the Marsyangdi River near Anbu Khaireni in Tanahun district has been confirmed to have 43 people on board.
According to police information, there were 43 people on board the bus, including the driver and the co-driver. The bus was traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
According to the Armed Police Force (APF) deployed at the accident site, dead bodies of 14 passengers were recovered from the accident site as of 12:55 PM on Friday.
At least 16 injured have been sent to a local hospital for treatment, while the rescue operation for the remaining passengers is still ongoing.
