Last tribute offered to singer Bardewa (photo/video)

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Well-wishers and fans present at the Kamaladi-based Nepal Academy sang a song- ‘Goreto Ani Ustai Chha Galli’, the popular song of the late singer and music arranger Sunil Bardewa. 

The crowd turned emotional as they remembered Bardewa who passed away at the age of 44 years on Wednesday. On the occasion, well-known artists offered their last tributes to the popular singer.

Bardewa was taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj from his house in Dhumbarahi for treatment. But, he was pronounced dead soon after his arrival at the hospital.

He was suffering from jaundice, singer Pramod Nirwan, a relative of the late singer told Republica Onlne.

 ‘A song was recorded in the memory of his late wife and its video was being prepared,” said Nirwan

Two daughters and a son of the singer, who are studying in Narayangadh had reached Kathmandu for the final rites.
