Know MoreLAMJUNG, June 23: Continuous rainfall since last night has triggered landslides, blocking the Dumre-Besisahar road once again. According to the District Police Office, Lamjung, a landslide this morning in Benisahar Municipality-1, Dalal, has caused the road closure.
Police Inspector Thaneshwar Chapai stated that it will take some time to clear the road due to ongoing rain and continued landslides.
The road blockage has halted traffic from Lamjung to the federal capital Kathmandu, the Gandaki province capital Pokhara, Chitwan, Bhairahawa, and other destinations. Consequently, hundreds of travelers are stranded on the road.
The road was previously blocked by a landslide on June 18.
