As a child
I flew colorful kites
in a cloudy sky.
The wind was noisy while
Surfing with a magnetic surge.
I wish I could fly
Lying on top of kites
Like Aladdin on his magical carpet
and sing in the language
Birds speak
Enjoying open spaces
In endless sky.
I would make paper kites
Now and then and
Give them to joyful kids
Who could fly them to greater heights
Where wind would drive them
along with it's swirling waves.
I would stare at flying kites
Surpassing terraces and rooftops
