'Kahar' launched

KATHMANDU, July 30: A book titled 'Kahar (Sorrow)' by journalist Janakraj Sapkota has been launched amidst a program here Saturday.

The book is focused on the society left disturbed by the effects of foreign employment.

Commenting on the book, sociologist Dr Chaitanya Mishra and journalists Kishor Nepal and Sudhir Sharma said the book reflected social problems brought about by foreign employment and its adverse effects.

Though remittance had a significant contribution to nation's economy, the society had been disturbed by the effects of foreign employment, they said. "The book gives a clear picture of that aspect of abroad jobs", they added.

Writer Sapkota had face-to-face conservation with its characters of 15 districts in course of writing the book. It has included 10 real incidents related to various aspects of foreign employment. RSS
