Know MoreKATHMANDU, July 14: A man has murdered his wife by slitting her throat in Rukum East. Hari Bhattarai, information officer and inspector of District Police Office, Rukum East, said that Jeevan Oli, 27, also known as Dame, of Tamari Chisapani, Bhume Rural Municipality-6, murdered his wife, Apsara Oli, 25, by slitting her to throat with a khukuri.
According to Inspector Bhattarai, Oli killed his wife at around 11 PM on Friday. The dead body was found dumped in a ditch located 100 meters away from their house. Jeevan Oli, the husband of the deceased, is currently absconding with his son Aayush Oli, 5.
A search operation is underway to locate him and the police are currently investigating the incident. According to the District Police Office, Rukum East, the dead body has been taken to Rukum East Hospital for a postmortem.
