KATHMANDU, Aug 16: There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), there is currently the effect of monsoon winds across the country and the low-pressure line of monsoon is around the average place.

According to the DHM, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms at some places in all provinces.

Similarly, the DHM has said that it will be generally cloudy over the country tonight, and there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a few places in the rest of the provinces.

The Department has also said that there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

August 17 (Saturday)

It will be partly to mostly cloudy in the afternoon, with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers at some places in all the provinces.

At night, it will be mostly cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning at some places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a few places in the rest of the province. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

August 18 (Sunday)

It will be partly to mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is possible at some places in all the provinces. Similarly, heavy rain at one or two places is likely in Lumbini Province.

At night, it will be mostly cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lighting at some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a few places of the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Madhesh, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
