Govt committed to constitution amendment: Minister Yadav
GAUSHALA, Nov 22: Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Sita Devi Yadav has said the government was committed to amending the constitution.
During an interaction organized by a local peace committee of Mahottari here on Tuesday, Minister Yadav said the Nepali Congress had joined the government to amend constitution
and address the grievances surfaced in different sectors.
According to her, most of the political parties including the main opposition, CPN-UML had agreed to address the dissatisfaction of Madhesi and indigenous community towards constitution through its amendment.
On a different note, she said elections in the local level should be held on the basis of the old structure. Holding election on the basis of old structure could be accommodative to all, Minister Yadav argued. RSS
