Know MoreKATHMANDU, Aug 16: Ganga Maya Adhikari, who is on a fast-onto-death at Bir Hospital for the past six days to get murderers of her son booked, has been admitted to ICU of the hospital following deterioration of her health.
Human rights activist Indra Aryal said that preparations were underway to administer her with saline.
A permanent resident of Phujel of Gorkha, Ganga Maya, who had been on a hunger strike for the past six years, has currently launched the fast-onto-death strike to press the government to arrest the murders of her son, Krishna Prasad killed during the Maoist decade-long insurgency.
Although Ganga Maya started her strike alongside her husband Nanda Prasad, her husband lost his life to his struggle to get justice.
Meanwhile, human rights activists, who recently launched the 'Save Ganga Maya' campaign to save the life of Ganga Maya, staged a sit-in in front of Bir Hospital demanding justice for Ganga Maya. RSS
