Know MoreMALANGWA (SARLAHI), Aug 24: Arvind Kumar Yadav, 43, former ward chairperson of Kavilasi municipality-4 in Sarlahi, died in a road accident last night.
According to police, Yadav died in the accident that took place involving the motorcycle (Pra 2-03-020 Pa 3245) he was riding at Kisanpur Chowk of Barahathawa Municipality-10.
SP Rabindra Bahadur Singh at Sarlahi District Police Office said that Yadav was on his way to Barhathwa from Piparia when his motorcycle hit a bicycle before meeting with an accident at 9:30 last night. Yadav died on the spot.
The identity of the cyclist is not yet known, who reportedly fled after the accident. Further investigation is underway, police said.
Yadav was a member of CPN-UML district committee and was elected as the ward chair representing the UML in the 2074 BS local level elections.
