KATHMANDU, July 20: The government has urged Nepali nationals residing in Bangladesh to contact the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka for any necessary support amid the latest developments there.

In a press meeting on Friday, the Foreign Ministry provided the following contact numbers for assistance: +8801880691913 (Yojana Bamjan, Second Secretary) and +8801745407958 (Riya Chhetri). These contacts are available for Nepali students, guardians and their relatives.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of Nepali students in Bangladesh amidst the current unrest.

To date, Nepali students in Bangladesh are safe and the universities, colleges and the Nepali Embassy are working diligently to enhance their security and convenience.

Since the beginning of July, protests have been ongoing in Dhaka and other majority cities over the dispute regarding the quota system in Bangladesh.
