First win for Birgunj in Super League
KATHMANDU ,June 24: Birgunj Youth Club beat Manohara United Youth Club 3-1 to record first win in the Super League round of the Martyrs Memorial C Division Football League at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato in Lalitpur on Thursday.
Similarly, leader Shree Bhagwati Club shared points with Jhamsikhel Youth Club. In the match between Birgunj and Manohara, Aditya Shakya, Krishan Shakya and Chaturdhan Chaudhary scored a goal each for the winner, while Tirtha Basnet scored the only goal for Manohara. Birgunj, which has three points from two matches, moved to the second position of the table with the win.
Manohara, despite having equally three points, is in the third position on head-to-head record. Meanwhile, Shree Bhagwati played goalless draw against Jhamsikhel. With the result, Bhagwati collected four points from two matches, while Jhamsikhel has one point from two matches in four-team competition.
