Know MoreKATHMANDU, June 12: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane, has said that the provincial structures of federalism have become a parking lot for second/third rung leaders.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of Nepal Socialist Party's foundation day on Wednesday, DPM Lamichhane, who is also the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), underscored the need to move the provincial structure in the right direction.
Stating that the country is yet to embrace the concept of federalism envisioned in the constitution, Home Minister Lamichhane said that the current state cannot help federalism flourish.
“Let's fix this, it is an improper issue,” he said.
