KATHMANDU, Aug 13: The DIGI Nepal Fintech Challenge, a Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) program, implemented by True North Associates (TNA) has been launched to promote digital innovation within Nepal's fintech sector. 

The challenge invites applications from digital technology providers and innovators working on solutions to enhance Nepal's fintech landscape. Interested parties can apply through the form available at www.tna.com.np/fintechchallenge, with the application period open until August 31, 2024.

Five selected applicants will be admitted to the program's accelerator, which provides funded technical assistance to help refine their business models and products. The accelerator offers hands-on workshops for business model and product refinement, mentorship, networking opportunities with investors and industry stakeholders, and potential access to Swiss experts.

Upon completion of the acceleration program, one Digital tech company will be selected to pilot their innovaFon in the market. The selected participants shall potentially receive co-funding grants from SDC to support their go-to-market plan. 

The DIGI Nepal Fintech Challenge is a part of the "Digital Innovation for Growth and Inclusion in Nepal (DIGI Nepal)" project funded by the SDC.
