Conflict Victims' Association submits memo to PM Oli

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: The Conflict Victims' Association has demanded that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli keep the conflict victims in the center while appointing office-bearers to the transitional justice commissions.

Submitting the memorandum to Prime Minister Oli at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today, the delegation led by Association Chairperson Hima Kumari Gharti urged him to appoint to such persons in Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons, who can give priority to the sentiments of the victims fairly.

The memo also asked the PM to release the remaining relief amount immediately as each victim has received only Rs 150,000 against Rs 750,000 announced by the government in 2063 BS.
