Ratan Sanghai arrested on charge of drugs trafficking

KATHMANDU, July 31:  Former Board member of Everest Insurance and Owner of HP Gas Pvt. Ltd.  Ratan  Sanghai has been arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau on the charge of drugs trafficking.

The government had also banned HP Gas last month for selling inferior quality gas.

According to the sources, officials from the bureau had reached the Plastic Industry of Sanghai Group to arrest Pawan Sanghai but as he was not there, the team arrested Ratan Sanghai. Pawan Sanghai is still out of contact and nowhere to be found.

Police have informed that preparations are being made to hold a press conference today to release the news publicly.

Last Wednesday, Police raided the factory and seized more than 400 kilograms of raw drug materials from the warehouse of Sanghai plastic industry.

Located in Patan Industrial Area, Sanghai Plastic Factory had hidden the same type of raw drugs material in 952 compartments.
