CAVA Women's Nations Volleyball League: Nepal to face the Maldives today

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The final match of the CAVA Women's Nations Volleyball League features a clash between the host nation, Nepal, and the Maldives today.

The match will take place at the National Sports Council (NSC) Covered Hall in Tripureshwar, starting at 3:15 PM.

Today's game is anticipated to be highly competitive.

Nepal have shown strong form throughout the league. In their opening match, Nepal convincingly defeated Sri Lanka 3-0, signaling their intent to claim the title.

In the second match, Nepal secured a semi-final berth with a thrilling 3-2 victory over title contenders India. However, their performance faltered in the third match on Sunday, where they lost to Iran 3-2. This defeat has nearly eliminated Nepal's chances of advancing to the semi-finals from a top position.

Currently, India leads the standings with seven points, while Iran holds the second spot with the same number of points but has played one fewer game. India will play their final league stage match against Sri Lanka today.

The India vs Sri Lanka match is scheduled to start at 1 PM
