Bhimeshwar, Kot Devi triumph

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Bhimeshwor Academy, Kandaghari and Kot Devi English School, Koteshwar have lifted  titles of boys and  girls event respectively during the Hira Memorial Kabaddi Association Tournament on Sunday.

To claim the first place of the boys event, Bhimeshwor Academy defeated Sacred Heart 29-16 in the final. Likewise, Kot Devi English School overcame Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir in the final to lift the title of the girls event. After both the teams scored 13 points each, the game was pushed to extra time during which Bijeshwori won 5-4.

Canvas and Heartland school came third in the boys event while Sacred Heart and Kuleshwar Seocndary School claimed similar position in the girls event.

Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh distributed prizes to the winning teams and players. The tournament was organized by Kathmandu District Kabaddi Association.
