3.7-aftershock felt in capital

KATHMANDU, July 22: An aftershock measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale on Friday jolted the Kathmandu Valley.

According to Bharat Koirala, a seismologist at the National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, the tremor was felt at 2:40 pm with its epicenter in Kirtipur.

As many as 466 aftershocks have struck so far following the Gorkha earthquake that devastated Nepal on April 25, 2015.

The NSC does not post tremors below 4 on the Richter scale on its website.
