Most of those against whom the warrants have been issued are daily wage workers. The locals say that the warrants were issued to them to save the leaders, contractors and the smugglers involved.
However, according to the investigation officer of District Forest Office (DFO), Ranjit Kumar Yadav, the warrants have been issued against all the culprits involved including DFO officials, contractors and the workers.
He further added that the names were not disclosed to avoid any disruption in the investigation. Police are searching the culprits and investigating the matter, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police, Binod Ghimire.
