Speaking at a programme organized by the Former Parliamentarians’ Forum on the occasion of the 54th Parliament Day in the capital Saturday, Vice-President Jha said the Forum could also play a role to forge political consensus.[break]
On the occasion, former chairman of the constituent assembly, Subash Nembang said the present crisis was resulted after the not interpreting the Supreme Court verdict properly and announcement next election to constituent assembly without any legal and constitutional preparations.
Former prime minister and leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Lokendra Bahadur Chand said national unity was only measure to wipe out present problems and establish peace and write constitution.
Chairman of the organizing body and former speaker Taranath Ranabhat said it was unfortunate that bickering for power became the attitude of political parties.
Founding chairman of the Forum Ram Hari Joshi said the State needs to utilize the knowledge and experience the former parliamentarians have.
The Forum, though not having parliament in the country at present, has continued marking the Parliament Day.
