Unknown disease claims 4 lives in Dhanusha

JANAKPUR, Sept 13: Four persons have died within the last 12 hours due to an unknown disease in Balabakhar, Dhanusha.



The deceased have been identified as Pradip Sada, 35, Phul Kumari Sada, 45, Draupadi Sada, 47 and Devaki Devi Sada of Balabakhar-8. [break]



Critically sick, three of them died Wednesday night, while the other one died early Thursday morning, informed Ramesh Dev, police inspector who is also the in-charge of the Area Police Office, Sabaila.



Five others have fallen ill due to the disease and are currently receiving medical treatment. Mahendra Sada, 45, Mangali Devi Sada, 45, Bechan Sada, 60, Ramdev Sada, 37 and Anar Devi Sada, 55, are said to be in critical condition.



A team from the Sabaila and Dhanushadham health posts has reached the area to treat those fallen ill.



The disease would be identified only after a team of doctors and specialists reach the site for inspection, informed District Police Office (DPO) spokesperson and deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Tek Bahadur Gurung.
