Two person charred to death

BARA, Aug 24: Two persons were charred to death at Nitanpur Chowk of Chhata Pipar VDC on Saturday morning after two tanks containing corrosive chemicals inside Bhagwati Steel Factory caught fire.



The fire had broken out while the two workers were repairing the tanks. The deceased have been identified as Kanhaiya Sah of Brahampuri village in Bhatauda VDC and his assistant Naresh Paswan of neighboring Chatta Pipara Baluwa VDC. [break]



“We have arrested Dhanendra Karna and his assistant Sanjay Das, who work in the same factory, for interrogation,” said Superintendent of Police at Bara Police Station, Thakur Prasad Gyawali. He also said that the factory owner Sashi Agrawal could not be contacted.

“The relatives of the dead have claimed that they were murdered,” said Gyawali, adding that they received the dead bodies only after the police assured of investigating the incident thoroughly.
