INARUWA, Nov 22: The United Democratic Madhesi Front cadres have set ablaze two motorcycles in front of the DDC office in Inaruwa-7. The incident took place last night when the two-wheelers were reportedly torched allegedly for smuggling fuel from across the border.

The two motorcycles (Ko.17 Pa. 5108) and (Ko.4 Pa. 3078) were intercepted by the Front cadres in front of the DDC at the district headquarters and torched, the District Police Office, Sunsari said. The motorcycle riders were coming from the border at the southern VDC of the district.

Both the motorcycles were completely gutted in the incident, though a fire tender had been summoned to put out the fire. Further investigation into the incident is underway, Superintendent of Police Sanjaya Raj Sharma said. RSS
