Two killed in separate accidents

DHANGADHI, Nov 24: A man riding a motorcycle died on the spot after his motorcycle hit an electricity pole on the roadside near Kailali Bridge in Dhangadhi on Monday night.



According to the police, the deceased is 34-year-old Mahendra Poti of Hasanpur, Dhangadhi-5. Police said the accident occurred since the motorcyclist was drunk.



Meanwhile, one person died and four others were injured in separate accidents that took place on Monday night in various places in east Nepal.



Nineteen-year-old Ram Mahato of Govindapur, Siraha died after a motorcycle hit him on the Mahendra Highway at Dhangadhi-1, Siraha district. Mahato died while being taken to hospital.



Similarly, two people were injured after being hit by a motorcycle at Hattimudha in Morang district on Monday evening. The injured are Binod Chaudhary and Sunita Chaudhary of Tankisinuwari-6.



A man was injured after a bus hit the rickshaw he was traveling in at Charali in Jhapa district on Monday night. The injured man is Lal Madwari, a resident of Jayapur, India, police said.
