KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel said that the talks between the government and pro-monarch activist Durga Prasain were positive.
Minister Kharel stated that the government expressed its commitment to addressing the demands of Prasain, who is leading the Nagarik Bachau Abhiyan (Protect Citizen Campaign).

The dialogue was held on Thursday between Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Prasain at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Minister Kharel further added that both sides agreed to maintain peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the country.
"Talks went positive. The incumbent government can address some demands that fall within the ambit of the Constitution and laws, while the new government can address others. The demands were thoroughly discussed during today’s talks," said Minister Kharel, who is also the government spokesperson.
