A 32-year-old man died and next one was seriously injured this morning when a truck (Bhe 1 Ja 1668) turned turtle at Shitala Bazaar along the Nepalgunj-Gulariya road section.
Shankar Adhikari of Dhakeri VDC in Banke district died in the incident, Superintendent of Police Govindaram Pariyar said.
Identity of the seriously injured truck helper is not confirmed yet.
Likewise, a pedestrian was killed last night in a truck hit incident near Sakhuwani of Butwal-Bhairahawa road section of the Siddhartha Highway.
Area Police Office, Butwal, said that the truck (Lu 1 Kha 495) on its way to Butwal hit the cyclist from the same direction injuring critically.
He died while receiving treatment at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital, Butwal. Identity of the man is not ascertained yet.
Meanwhile, Sukko Rana of Shankarpur VDC-2 in Kanchanpur district committed suicide by hanging herself at her home last night.
Rana’s husband Hira Singh had informed the police after learning about the incident, it is said.
Sub-Inspector Lal Bahadur Bidari said that reasons behind the suicide are not known so far. RSS
