KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Nepal Police on Monday arrested a Turkish national in possession of 6 kg hashish while trying to smuggle the contraband to Turkey.
A squad from Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Nepal Police had arrested the 44-year-old Ozgur Tan while he was about to leave Nepal for Istanbul, Turkey from Tribhuvan International Airport at 12:55pm via flight TK727.
The Turkish national was found to be carrying 6 kg hashish in course of security check after his luggage was suspected of having a false bottom. Police said that further investigation is underway.
