Priyanka Karki from junior group, Arun Singh Nepali from senior, and Hemlal Tamang from adult won the respective titles. The award ceremony was held at D.A.V.S.V.B in Patan.[break]
Participants from many places, such as Pokhara, Chitwan, Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Lumbini, and Barabise took part in the contest.
Minister for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Posta Bahadur Bogati and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, HE Yang Houlan attended the award ceremony and also delivered speeches on the excellent relationship between Nepal and China.
Minister Bogati praised China and also thought that we should learn from the Chinese and the progress they are making.
There were also other honored guests from the educational sector and government.
The participants were divided in three groups in the contest: Junior, Senior, and Adult. Altogether, 300 contestants took part in the language competition. Other titles like Active Participation Awards and Excellent Performance Awards were won by many other participants.
Three teachers were also awarded the title of Excellent Guide Teacher.
The Outstanding Organization Prize for Schools was awarded to many schools, such as Rosebud School.
Invitees attending the ceremony were entertained with Chinese music and dances. Chinese arts and crafts were used to decorate the hall.
The youngest and the eldest participants in the contest were Prajisha K.C, 5, and Ishwory Rajbhandari, 74, respectively.
