KATHMANDU, April 7: The U-19 national cricket team captain Raju Rijal, youth sensation Sandeep Lamichhane and Susan Bhari were included in the national cricket team squad that was announced Thursday for the two List A matches (50-over) of the ICC World Cricket League Championship.

Nepal, captained by Paras Khadka, will host Namibia on April 16 and 18 at the Tribhavan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Gyanendra Malla, Sagar Pun, Naresh Budhaair, Sharad Vesawkar, Binod Bhandari, Basanta Regmi, Shakti Gauchan, Sompal Kami, Karan KC and Rajesh Pulami are also in the final squad.
Bikram Sob, Dipendra Singh Airee, Prem Tamang and Anil Mandal are reserve players of the team.Jagat Tamata, who guided Nepali U-19 team into the quarterfinals of the ICC U-19 World Cup, is the coach of the team. Similarly, Nepali team's former coach Pubudu Dassanayake is also in Nepal to support the team.
Meanwhile, coach Tamata said that Nepal will get home advantage while facing Namibia for the two List A matches (50-over) of the ICC World Cricket League Championship at the Tribhuvan University Ground, Kirtipur on April 16 and 18.
Tamata said that winning both the matches for Nepal will be important as the victories will inspire his side to give even better results in the coming events.
"Winning both the matches is important for us to be positive for upcoming matches since Nepal has already lost previous four matches of the championship," said Tamata, who believed that the team has advantage of spinners and home ground will be of additional advantage.
Nepal has yet to win a match in the championship it lost two matches against Scotland and two matches against PNG.
