Meanwhile, the general assembly elected Jamling Ghale and MB Gurung as the president and general secretary of the new executive committee respectively.
Khatri wins two gold medals
KATHMANDU: Renuka Khatri of host Morgan clinched the ladies´ singles gold in the Third Morgan Cup Inter College Table Tennis Tournament on Friday. Khatri defeated Selisha Khadgi of Bern Herdt 14-12, 11-3, 11-9 in the final played at the National Table Tennis Training Center, Lainchaur on Friday. Meanwhile, duo of Bilosh Shrestha and Ajesh Maharjan beat Nihal Shrestha and Gaurav Ranjit 11-7, 11-6, 11-5 in the final of men´s doubles while Khatri and Alina Maharjan claimed gold in women´s doubles. Khatri and Maharjan teamed up to edged past Prime´s duo Sunita Lama and Erika Maharjan 11-3, 11-2, 12-10. In mixed doubles final, Bilosh Shrestha and Selisha Khadgi teamed up for Bern Herdt to beat Prajwal Shrestha and Alina Maharjan of Morgan 11-2, 6-11, 12-10, 11-8.
Bern Herdt wins gold
KATHMANDU: Host Kathmandu Bern Herdt College won the gold medal in men´s team event of the First Bern Herdt Inter College Table Tennis Tournament. Bern Herdt defeated Patan Campus 3-0 in the finals played on Friday. Rachana Koirala of St Xavier´s defeated Binisha Paudel of Ambition 11-6, 11-4, 12-10 in the final of girls´ singles.
GoldenGate lifts title
KATHMANDU: GoldenGate International College claimed the title of the First Inter College Masters Science Basketball Tournament on Friday. GoldenGate thrashed TU 61-28 in the final. Nabin Kishor Bimali was awarded with the most valuable player of the tournament trophy.
Premier, GoldenGate lift U-19 title
KATHMANDU: Premier and GoldenGate College lifted the Nobel Cup Third U-19 3X3 National Basketball Championship on Friday. In the girls´ category, Premier defeated host Nobel Academy 15-7. Nobel had taken an early lead in the game but Samichan Bista´s two pointer in the third minute changed the tide in favor of Premier. Bista netted 9 points with 4 two pointers in the game. Earlier in the semifinal, Premier had defeated NASA 10-7 with 6 points from Anusha Malla. Nobel Academy had advanced into the final with a 15-9 victory over GoldenGate. In the men´s category, GoldenGate thrashed Trinity 21-9 with 9 points from Bishal Tamang. Tamang netted 4 two pointers.
