People delighted, hearts united.
The benchmark for which we shed tears of joy,
Ended up leaving ourselves divided.
It overshadowed our hopes with its dusky rays,
People discontented, hearts fragmented.
Riots stretching on and on for days,
It’s left us at a loss, everyone’s tormented.
We waited this long with hopes held high
We’ve come so far, worked so hard.
We will tighten someday, I hope,
Into a compact knot, a belief of success and unity.
