Siraha police using electricity 'illegally'

GOLBAJAR, Siraha, Oct. 31: Perhaps you have heard of police arresting those leaking electricity, but what about police leaking it themselves ?

But it is true in Siraha district.



More than one dozen police offices including Area Police Offices- Bariyarpatti and Sukhipur, and police posts Kajara Jijhoul, Nawarajpur, Jhajhpatti have been using such electricity. The police offices light electricity even in daytime.[break]



As electricity is leaked in the police office itself, the villagers also use electricity by such illegal methods.



Ajaya yadav of Jhijhoul said 40 percent of the people here have been using electricity by leaking. Those using leaked electricity do not use switch. As they do not have switch they do not switch it off and there is no compulsion pay for it.



Hundreds of thousands of rupees in revenue has been lost because of electricity pilferage.
