Among 16 A division team, ANFA has announced cash awards to top eight teams in which the winner will get Rs 7.5 million and the runner up will bag Rs 3.5 million. [break]Third place finisher will bag Rs 1.5 million, fourth place finisher will get Rs 700,000. Fifth and sixth will get Rs 150,000 apiece and seventh and eighth Rs 100,000 each.
The matches of initial phase will be held on single round robin basis and top six teams will directly make it to the second round. The seventh and eight place finisher teams will also be eligible to compete in the second round if the point difference between the leader and the teams is less than 22 points. The second phase matches will also be held on round robin basis. The goals of the first phase will also be counted in the second phase of the league.
The bottom three finishesr will be relegated to B division while the winner will qualify for the AFC President´s Cup 2013. Scrapping the goal difference provision as that of previous league, ANFA has introduced head-to-head system to determine team´s position if the points are tied.
Meanwhile, best players in four positions -- forward, midfield, defense and goalkeeping -- and best coach will each be awarded a motorbike.
All 16 participating teams will be given Rs 300,000 each as preparation fees. The estimated total cost of the event is about Rs 20 million.
