CAN announces cash prize of Rs 11 million for NPL winner

The runner-up team will receive Rs 5.1 million cash prize, the third-place team will receive Rs 2.5 million, and the fourth-place team will receive Rs 1.5 million.

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: The winning team of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will receive Rs 11 million in cash prize.


On Tuesday, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) issued a statement informing everyone concerned of the details about the prize money for the teams that have reached the playoffs in the ongoing tournament.

According to the CAN, the runner-up team will receive Rs 5.1 million cash prize, the third-place team will receive Rs 2.5 million, and the fourth-place team will receive Rs 1.5 million.


Sudurpaschim Royals, Janakpur Bolts, Chitwan Rhinos and Karnali Yaks have reached the NPL playoffs. Rhinos and Yaks will compete in the eliminator on Wednesday and Royals and Bolts  will compete in the first qualifier.


The second qualifier will be held on Thursday. The final match will be held on Saturday.
