KATHMANDU, April 3: Actor Sagar Lamsal, popularly known as Bale, has been accused of rape by a young woman currently residing in the US.
The woman publicly shared a detailed account of the alleged incident on social media, stating that it took place a year ago when Lamsal visited the US. She claims that Lamsal raped her under the pretext of visiting her apartment.
In her post, she wrote: “This happened a year ago when I was facing health issues and living alone in the U.S. Sagar Lamsal, whom I have considered a brother for over ten years, came from Nepal. I trusted him. During our conversation, he asked me to show him where I lived, so I took him to my apartment. While I was explaining my health struggles, crying, and sharing my hardships, I had no idea that the person I considered a brother and my family considered family was actually a monster. I was raped.”

She further added: “All the hope and strength I had left me. I couldn’t raise my voice; I wanted to scream and tell my family, but I feared it would break my family apart.”
The victim continued: “This incident haunts me every day. I can’t breathe properly, can’t eat, and feel like a living corpse. And that monster is living freely in his home.”
She stated that she finally found the courage to speak out, saying: “Today I gathered some courage and wrote this. I know I may not get justice, and I no longer have the strength to fight. But the person who did this to me must face the consequences of his actions. I hope he never does this to anyone else in the future.”
The woman also revealed that she has suffered from depression since childhood.
Following these allegations, Sagar Lamsal has faced widespread criticism on social media, with numerous negative comments appearing on his posts. However, Lamsal has not issued any official response, though several actors have commented on the matter both directly and indirectly.
