Dubbed Republica Fusion Rock, the open air concert will commence at 5 pm and will give the gathering on the square a taste of traditional music punctuated by percussive new-age vibes.[break]
The coordinator of the event, Prabin Lal Joshi, shared, “Everyone’s invited and I’m sure they’ll love the music. We’re expecting a huge turnout and it’s going to a smashing evening.”
On the topic of security concerns, he was quick to reassure that the organizers will have help of 40 security guards, aided by some 250 volunteers.
“There’s nothing to worry about on the day of concert. Come and have fun,” added he.
Although the concert is free of cost to visitors, the organizers revealed that they were grateful to the generous sponsors who have donated funds for the event. The collected sum will be channeled to My Small Help, a charity that looks after under privileged children.
Even though the performances are slated to start later in the evening, the venue will be abuzz with activities throughout the day, starting with a blood donation campaign from 10 am to 1 pm.
