EC directs parties to submit manifestos by February 15

EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that political parties must submit their manifestos to the EC, while candidates must submit them to the concerned election office, as per Section 57 of the Political Parties Act, 2017.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: The Election Commission (EC) has directed political parties and candidates to make their election manifestos public by February 15.

According to a decision taken by the EC on Tuesday, political parties participating in the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, as well as candidates contesting under the first-past-the-post electoral system, must submit their manifestos by February 15 in accordance with Section 37 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2025.


Issuing a statement on Tuesday, EC Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that political parties must submit their manifestos to the EC, while candidates must submit them to the concerned election office, as per Section 57 of the Political Parties Act, 2017.
