KATHMANDU, April 2: There is a chance of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with a possibility of snowfall in certain areas today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MDF) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial influence of the westerly winds and local winds on Nepal.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the MFD earlier at 6 am, the weather is mostly clear across the country.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
According to the MFD, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon.
There is a chance of light rain with thunder/lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
The hilly regions of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to mainly clear tonight. There is a possibility of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
